5/22: Spring Is In The Air
Dear all,
As a special thank you for subscribing to our community newsletter, we wanted to give you a special sneak peek at our two newest pages before we share the news with our larger audience. Here is our piece on “Superficial Parasternal Intercostal Plane Block,” as well as the companion piece on the “Deep Parasternal Intercostal Plane Block”—or the blocks formally known as the Pecto-Intercostal Fascial Plane Block, Transverse Thoracis Plane block, Parasternal Pecs block, Subpectoral Interfascial Plane Block, ad nauseum.
We are also thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Baby Blocks team, Dr. Cassandra Hoffman. While many of us on the team trace our roots directly back to the inimitable Meg Rosenblatt, Cassie is among the first to be trained by one of Meg’s protégés, our very own Nadia Hernandez. Needless to say, with a lineage like that, we expect great things from Cassie.
Speaking of great things, I have come to realize that there is no better operating room playlist than Motown. While I admit, growing up a stone’s throw from Detroit makes me a little biased, I still have yet to find something so universally loved by even the crotchiest surgeon. It just makes everything so much more pleasant. So, if you’re looking for something to help ease the tension during that case that only has “20 minutes left,” try a little Motown. I know it works for me.
If you have any suggestions for the site (or your own favorite OR playlist!), just respond to this message. We read every email.
Best
John
