I am the Director of Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. I completed my residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital and RAAPM fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. I routinely teach block workshops at ASRA, ASA, and the CSA annual meetings, as well as creating short sonoanatomy videos, “Nerve Block TikToks”. I also serve on ASRA’s Private Practice SIG, am a member of the ASRA’s Website and Social Media Committee, and serve as the US representative for the ESRA International Committee. Although my parents named me “Melody” because my father repaired musical instruments for a living, I am the only one of their four children who does not play music, though I do appreciate music and occasionally sing while blocking.
